Description Mikhail Zabaluev 2005-09-04 17:26:18 UTC
I cannot connect to my IMAP account with all Evolution/E-D-S versions since
2.3.6/1.3.6.
The account is configured to use a custom command for connection, which is
"ssh -C -l %u mail.altlinux.ru exec /usr/sbin/imapd".
The IMAP account tree appears collapsed on startup. Expanding it gives only a
placeholder progress item, which stays indefinitely.

With versions 2.3.5/1.3.5 on the same configuration, the account tree is
initially expanded and mail retrieval proceeds as normal.

This log was produced using the following steps:

2. Attempt to expand the IMAP account tree
3. Close the application
Comment 2 Not Zed 2005-09-06 04:09:37 UTC
2.3.6 is broken
Comment 3 Mikhail Zabaluev 2005-09-06 06:08:23 UTC
The report was produced with 2.3.8.
I observe this on 2.4.0 as well.
Comment 4 Mikhail Zabaluev 2005-09-22 07:29:45 UTC
It turns out IMAP works after all; I'm downgrading the severity and changing the
summary accordingly.

After I subscribed to Inbox, it appeared in the tree, but the Inbox folder icon
was plain and the "Loading..." placeholder was still there. Disabled the
account and enabled it back, now it's got Spam and Trash as well,
each folder complete with appropriate icons, everything looks OK.

closing as fixed then?
