Description Sebastien Bacher 2005-09-02 08:32:01 UTC
This bug has been opened here: http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14517

"I can have a perfectly valid stream play in rhythmbox by adding it through the
menu.
Just clicking the link in firefox isn't enough. FF defaults it to rhythmbox, but
it doesn't pick up.
Nothing happens.

I've been trying with streams from shoutcast.com, and made special care to
install all gstreamer plugins, including -mad and -lame.

Breezy, sept1st dist-upgraded.
...
ogg stream.
Works fine, as long as I add it manually.

This work fine in cvs. A fix could be backported to 0.9.0, but it would break
Ubuntu's freeze. Let me know whether you want a patch, or leave it to
post-breezy (and hence close the bug).

thanks for asking, the bug can be closed if it's fixed upstream. We are frozen
for 5.10, it'll be fixed after it
