Doing in F-spot 0.1.1 :

1) create a new version of a photo
2) adjust colors

results in a dialog with: 

Received exception "Argument cannot be null. Parameter name 'src'. Unable to
save image <original_image_name>

Commenting away the lines 435, 436 in PixbufUtils.SaveJpeg 'avoids' the exception.
