When inserting new text to a cell, all current rich formatting is lost after the
insertion point.

This bug makes using rich text pretty painful.
Comment 3 Andreas J. Guelzow 2005-09-05 23:03:44 UTC
Just for the record: this does not happen in 1.5.2 plus a little cvs.
Comment 4 Morten Welinder 2005-09-08 20:00:59 UTC
I cannot reproduce with current cvs -- a bit worrisome as there are no
obvious changes in rich text since 1.5.5

I do note, however, that F2 now places the cursor at the beginning of the line,
not at the end which my fingers seem to expect.
Comment 5 Jean Bréfort 2005-09-11 16:21:10 UTC
I can reproduce it.
Comment 6 Jean Bréfort 2005-09-12 07:27:58 UTC
This is a pango bug (#316054).
Comment 7 Morten Welinder 2005-09-12 13:55:28 UTC
Argh.

It does not even look like it is easy to work around.
Comment 8 Jody Goldberg 2005-09-12 14:08:26 UTC
The change to F2 is a result of my enabling a gtk-2.2 era enhancement to disable
the 'select all' action when the entry gets focus.
Comment 9 Morten Welinder 2005-09-15 14:20:13 UTC
I have added code to check for the bug and warn on startup.

Also, I have asked Debian to push out on update. No word on when and if.
