Using ubuntu update manager recently lead me to the following message:

(update-manager:9738): Gdk-WARNING **: Visual type=static gray depth=24, image
bpp=32, lsb first
is not supported by GdkRGB. Please submit a bug report
with the above values to bugzilla.gnome.org

nvidia proprietary driver right? this is a driver bug. The above visual
values are nonsensical.
Comment 2 Sylvain Pasche 2005-08-31 09:48:03 UTC
You guessed right, I'm using these proprietery nvidia drivers.

I'll try to inform them about this issue.

No point in tracking Nvidia driver bugs here.
