I don't think there is much point caring until there is a sane interface for
tell available to us. Perhaps add a simple battstat_can_suspend() function to
check whether we should offer that option that by default returns TRUE, but that
can be overridden by the vendors if they feel it appropriate.
Comment 2 Allison Karlitskaya (desrt) 2005-12-04 17:07:30 UTC
This is what I've done. I've also knocked up a patch for Ubuntu. Please
comment on the other bug so I can decide what to do about this :) (if we keep
the wording of the dialog as it is now then there are going to be some string
changes. if we're going to change the wording anyway we may as well do both at
once).
Comment 3 Danielle Madeley 2005-12-05 02:36:39 UTC
It seems that we're never going to win w.r.t. to wording of that damned dialog.
Let's leave it as is for the moment.
Comment 4 Allison Karlitskaya (desrt) 2005-12-05 04:12:04 UTC
fixed in head. distros can patch is_suspend_unavailable() to meet their needs.
