Description Mark McLoughlin 2005-08-18 14:51:13 UTC
From Fedora:

  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=166167

  Just came across this on
  http://www.canllaith.org/svn-features/17-08-05.html.

Apart from the eye candy, this provides a enhanced visual cue on where the
  applets are being added.

Basically, KDE now animate an applet being added to the panel. Something to
consider, perhaps. GIF showing the animation:

The feedback is a good idea. We should think about something like this with the
new applet system we've been talking about.

Perhaps we could show a notification bubble from the newly added applet,
displaying the default configuration it's starting with. Just thinking out loud.

I am interested in this idea, but the pages you mentioned are no longer available.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all
old feature requests in Bugzilla which have not seen updates for many years.

If you still use gnome-panel and if you are still requesting this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/issues/

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry it could not be implemented.
