i don't care about compilation of an old version of librsvg against an unstable, unreleased version of pango and cairo.
If somehow you haven't noticed http://cipherfunk.org/diary/archives/monthly/2005-08.html#e2005-08-25T12_51_11.htm you would do well to read it. While I appreciate your efforts as a developer, a little diplomacy goes a long way. Rude comments like that don't really convince anybody new to bug filing that it's a worthwhile endeavor. Just my 2 (unrequested) cents. Sorry if you think that's out of line.
Chris, that is out of line for a bugzilla report, IMHO. Sending your concerns over email or a blog would have been a more appropriate forum. Paul's inaccurate and meandering rant nonwitstanding, I stand by my previous statement and convictions. This bug deserves to be closed for the reasons mentioned above. I contend that I wasn't being rude, merely curt. Any rudeness that you might've read into it isn't a concern of mine, but I'll apologize all the same. It wasn't my intention to be rude. And while I appreciate the efforts spent by bug reporters, I'm not beholden to them. It's within my purview (some might say that it's my obligation) to decide what is and what isn't a bug, and act accordingly. I believe that I have done so. That's just my 2 (unrequested) cents.
