Description Alan Horkan 2005-08-04 18:39:30 UTC
I think it might improve the educational value of Atomix if both the chemical
name and the ordinary name were included (and possibly other information)
for example:
H2O, Water
C2H5OH, Ethanol, Alcohol
CH4, Methane

Ideally the chemical names would be typeset to use proper subscripts for the
numbers.

It might even be worth including a Comment containing extra information and
description of not just the common name but also what the substance is used for.

I should have included the wikipedia page for Methane because I actually had to
look it up (I've never studied chemistry so this is all reasonably new and
interesting for me)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methane

The bottom of the page lists other "Alkanes" which presumably might be part of
the other information worth mentioning and I want to leave myself a reminder in
case I decide to make new levels out of any of the chemicals listed there.

Sorry for the long time it took me to implement it. It is now fixed in CVS HEAD, which will be in GNOME 2.14.

Enjoy!
