GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 312587
[TRANSLATION] french spelling errors in some script names
Last modified: 2005-12-14 21:45:10 UTC
Here a patch to correct these errors.
Created attachment 50236 [details] [review] the patch :)
path seems good :-) status = new ; priority = high because of the patch ;
The Cherokî thing was quite funny. It is rather awkward in Belgium because the spelling looks a lot like the walloon slang word barakî, wich means: a droupout man, wich lives in the fringe, with a tendancy to bad taste, the kind of people you'd hate to have in your neighborhood ;)
I now have a doubt... I just found something on the french wikipedia: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode and according to some other documents http://www.unicode.org/charts/fr/PDF/U40F-13A0.pdf and http://www.unicode.org/charts/fr/PDF/U40F-10330.pdf the translation for "Gotique" and "Cherokee" was right (at least "officialy"), only "Inherited" seems to be false.
Guillame, Claessens, Frédéric, Laurent, salut and thanks for the report, but translation bugs should be resolved within the translation team. The French team home page is http://gnomefr.traduc.org/. I suggest you raise the issue with the coordinator, Christophe Merlet.
Christophe, would you please take a look at this bug?
