GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 311106
increasing or decreasing the font size from the format menu in compose mail window has no effect
Last modified: 2005-08-09 15:24:29 UTC
Distribution/Version: SuSE 9.3 1. Open the compose mail window 2. Verify that HTML in the format menu is not checked. Type some text in the body of the mail and select it. 3. Now goto format > text size and select one of the options under that. 4. The text size neither increases nor decreases Expected results: The menu items should either be disabled or the font size should take effect when the option is selected. One more issue is that even if HTML is selected, selecting -2 and -1 from the font size menu has no effect on the font size.
The same issue can be observed with the text option under the format menu. The options that are available in the dialog when 'text...' menu item is selected are disabled in the toolbar but are not disabled in that dialog. If you select any of the options under the dialog, the corresponding push button in the toolbar gets effected. But the text has no effect.
It is the same issue with format > style > plaint text option.
In non-HTML mode (plain ASCII) there is no formatting of text (neither color nor font). So, the menu items should be disabled.
Changing the Product to "Evolution" and component to "mailer".
The component is still gtkhtml. These menu items are handled by gtkhtml.

Fixed in cvs Head. Please verify in the next release.
The additional issue mentioned above regarding font size -2,-1, not working in HTML mode is being tracked by bug 313014.
