Description Oskari Saarenmaa 2005-07-17 22:58:10 UTC
Please describe the problem:
VFS sftp access doesn't work with ssh.com derivative clients such as F-Secure
SSH or WRQ Reflection for Secure IT. Those clients should use the same
configuration as the ssh.com one.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Reflection for Secure IT client. (www.wrq.com)
2. gnomevfs-ls sftp://localhost/

Actual results:
Error opening: Internal error

Expected results:
proc (Directory, x-directory/normal) size 0 mode 40555
sbin (Directory, x-directory/normal) size 12288 mode 40755
[...]

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Proposed patch.

A patch to detect F-Secure SSH or WRQ Reflection for Secure IT. Also disables
agent and tcp/ip forwardings for the sftp connection.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
However, you are using a version that is too old and not supported anymore. GNOME developers are no longer working on that version, so unfortunately there will not be any bug fixes for the version that you use.

By upgrading to a newer version of GNOME you could receive bug fixes and new functionality. You may need to upgrade your Linux distribution to obtain a newer version of GNOME.
Please feel free to reopen this bug if the problem still occurs with a newer version of GNOME.
