Description Colin Marquardt 2005-07-11 21:25:51 UTC
Distribution: Debian 3.1
Package: nautilus
Severity: normal
Version: GNOME2.11.4 unspecified
Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu
Synopsis: Pathbar doesn't restore scroll state
Bugzilla-Product: nautilus
Bugzilla-Component: Navigation
Bugzilla-Version: unspecified
Description:
Description of Problem:
In browser mode of Nautilus 2.11.4, when I scroll in a folder, then
enter a subfolder, and then return to
its parent folder with the pathbar, the scroll state is not restored.
This is different from using the "Up" button,
which does restore the scroll position.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Enter a folder with lots of stuff in it so that the scroll bar
appears
2. Scroll down a bit, then enter a sub-folder
3. Use the path bar to go back to the previous folder

Actual Results:
Scroll bar is at the beginning ot the parent folder.

Expected Results:
Scroll bar is at the position I scrolled to prior to entering the
sub-folder.

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:
I absolutely love the new Nautilus!
