Description Alan Horkan 2005-06-22 20:13:22 UTC
it would be nice to show the title of the mahjongg level in the title bar.
very minor ehancement, might even get around to providing a patch for it myself
eventually.

Ain't no seed number in 2.10... besides, having "Mahjong - Confounding Cross -
#83108191" would be a really bad idea. ;)

Policy issues if we must heed the HIG:
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/2.0/windows-primary.html

Aisleriot titles (as of Bug #306338) make sense for that game because "Klondike"
and "Clock" are standalone games in thier own right. I don't think this would
work as well in Blackjack, Klotski, and Mahjongg. Whatever happens, though,
those three games should all probably do the same thing.

sorry forced back to older version due to hardware upgrades forgot the seed had
been removed. reference to seed number in the summary removed.

You are right this should be done consistently across games.

I dont see any downside to this though, the information is non essential and
there is already a risk of the titlebar being obscured depending on what window
manager or theme is in use.
If there was of marking this idea as _extremely low_ priority I would, but I
file these things anyway otherwise I'd forget.

I have implemented this in CVS (along with a very big restructuring of how we
keep track of which game we use). I think it looks good and we don't display the
information any other way (the other option was to use the statusbar, but I
didn't like that as much).

It will hopefully hit CVS within a day - depending on when the laptop leaves the
firewall.
