GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 308160
mixer-icon not clear
Last modified: 2005-09-06 16:36:46 UTC
I want to reportthat the icon used for the mixer isnot clear. Now I saw what it is it seems clear for me when big enough, but till last week I didn't know what it was, and the blue/red thing seemed like some gstreamer-logo-like-thing when not big enough. I suggests to just use the icon used in the aplet itself when it's on maximum, like "<| )))" This indicates what it's for more clear. Maybe even better to have another icon that shows the user more like "what you do when you use the thing" ... or the icon should be just made a bit more clear ... But asksome new uysers what the icon (when small) represents and I'll guess you see what I mean
I'm not all too sure whether I agree... I'd need some artists input here.
that's rather a gnome-icon-theme bug, no? There is already #304995 about this icon
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 304995 ***
This is not a dup. it is about the icon of the app (the volume-button-on-a-stereo like thing). 304995 is about the icon on the applet itself.
my bad
Thanks for reopening. Also big thank you for your great artwork and everything else you might do for 'the' Open Source Community
Having a scalable version for bigger resolutions and a unique 16x16 and 24x24 bitmap should fix the issue: 2005-09-06 Jakub Steiner <jimmac@ximian.com> * volume-knob: remove 48x48, replace with an SVG and provide the 16x16 and 24x24 bitmaps. Fixes bug #308160.
