Description Corey Burger 2005-05-11 03:59:35 UTC
Serpentine has a very simple and easy UI, which should be matched by nautilus
cd-burner. The top bar has a record, add and remove buttons and the bottom bar
shows type of media and space left.

The serpentine Main UI:

Thanks for the bug report. Indeed, serpentine is nice. However, it has a very
different focus. One of our primary goals is for tight nautilus integration and
not to be a full featured disc writing application.
Comment 2 Corey Burger 2005-05-11 21:02:57 UTC
It is nice to have integrated burning, but the current UI falls down on a couple
points.

1. Right clicks are not really discoverable
2. Even if they discover the right-click, the first option is not write-to-disk,
it is about the 3rd option
3. There is no way to tell how much space is left on the disk, at a glance.

So, to merge the two ideas together, drop it down to one bar, with the following
info:
1. A burn button
2. A size of disc
3. A used/free space indicator

Note, I am not asking for the serpentine functionality, merely that the UI
nautilus-cd be changed
