Description Sebastien Bacher 2005-05-10 20:43:16 UTC
This bug has been opened here: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/10489

"My laptop has a built-in ethernet card and I use a PCMCIA wifi card
extensively. Using the network-admin from gnome-system-tools I am able to set up
various profiles, most which leave the ethernet card disabled.
However, when switching profiles, disabled interfaces which are up should be
ifdown --force'd. This has caused a great deal of headache to determine.

According to its developer(s), gnome-system-tools is not under active development anymore. Functionality has been mostly integrated into GNOME Control Center / "[System] Settings".

It is unlikely that there will be any further active development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping - Please feel
free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility
for active development again.
