Yes, the documentation hasn't been updated in a long time. Therefore the
pictures might be vastly out of date as well.

I'm targeting this for 2.0.0.  We should consider this as a "should have up-to-date screenshots" requirement.

I think this one can be closed with the latest svn update of gnucash-docs.

Absolutely. In SVN, this has been fixed completely, and the upcoming gnucash-docs-1.9.0 or -2.0.0 will have this fixed.
