Description Ondřej Surý 2005-04-19 06:14:12 UTC
Please describe the problem:
One of Debian users reported problem when deleting images sometime wrong image
gets deleted. His report is located at http://bugs.debian.org/305305.
***
I recently tried to use f-spot to process my digital photos, as it was
quick to display the images to decide if I should keep them or not,
and provided a convenient way to insert comments about the images.
But after a short while, I discovered that the wrong image was deleted
when I used the meny to remove the image from disk. I'm not quite
sure how to reproduce it.

It seemed to delete an image close to the image I selected, like the
one before or after the selected image. I didn't investigate much, as
I wanted to keep my images, and my trust in the program was no longer
there. (Luckily I hadn't deleted the images from the memory stick
yet, so I didn't loose any images.)

Someone should fix f-spot to make sure it always delete the correct
images. I dare not use it for that any more. I still use it to look
at images, though, as it is one of the quicker ways to do this. :)

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

If this is true, this is very serious. Can anyone confirm this?
Comment 2 Larry Ewing 2005-10-30 06:58:56 UTC
Can anyone repsoduce this now? Has it been seen since these very old versions?
Comment 3 Bengt Thuree 2006-02-17 10:35:08 UTC
Since no-one responded, I suggest we close this one.
After all, 10 months since it was reported and a lot has happend since.
Comment 4 Bengt Thuree 2006-05-16 08:39:25 UTC
I close this one, due to no responce at all in over one year.

After checking other existing bugs, I think it is also a duplicate of duplicate of bug #338842 and/or bug #340901
