Download one of the videos
Play it with gst-launch (I used the element playbin)

Result
the sound plays well, but there only few image that are display.

The one for download (higovdemo.avi) seems to be an Intel Indeo 5 .avi file
(fourcc=IV50). I think the only way to play that at the moment is via win32 DLLs
and GStreamer doesn't support that as far as I know.

For what it's worth, even mplayer+w32codecs doesn't play the video ...

Hum, FYI I succeed to play the videos with mplayer + Win32 codecs.
