Description Sebastien Bacher 2005-04-11 19:22:24 UTC
This bug has been opened here: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/8722

"Steps to reproduce:

Grab yourself the September 2004 "Gzip'd text" Ubuntu-users mailing list
archive, available at:

http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-users/2004-September.txt.gz

Double-click to open it up in file-roller, select the single file inside the
archive, and click the view button.
I get something like:

"An error occurred while extracting files"

Clicking on the "Command line output" button shows:

gzip:
/tmp/fr-i9cijW//var/lib/mailman/archives/private/ubuntu-users/2004-September.txt:
No such file or directory

I've tried the same thing with the October, November, and December archives from
this mailing list with the same results."
