crash in e_name_selector?
Ok, I got a better backtrace this time, now with debuginfo: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". Is this bug on anybody's radar? It crashes evolution several times a day for me.
Tduffy: Can you please attach the email source to reproduce this bug ?
I can happen on any email, it seems. This is not an issue with a particual email. It happens more than once a day when I go to reply to an email. Obviously, this doesn't happen to everyone otherwise it would be first priority. I am using an x86_64 SMP system running Fedora Core 4 test 3 (ATM). I have my home directory on NFS. I have an IMAP email account (which runs off of Sun's Java Enterprise IMAP server). What more do you need from me? -tduffy
There are apparenlty others seeing this bug other than me: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-test-list/2005-May/msg01305.html Reopening.

This looks like a compiler bug to me. I've added details to the redhat bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=160913
Dave Malcolm correctly identified this as missing function declarations. At least gtkcellrenderertext.h and gtkhbox.h need to be included by e-name-selector-dialog.c See the redhat bugzilla link in comment #9.
I see that e-name-selector-dialog.c includes gtk.h, in cvs head.
reassigning old bugs to get rid of triage@ximian.com as assignee. adding version number. confirming as more than one people report this. ;-)
Does anybody still faces this issue. Does the solution given at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=160913 helps.
Closing the issue as fixed.
