Description Link Dupont 2005-03-25 18:32:14 UTC
evo 2.2, ximian-connector 2.2.1

When an Exchange account is deleted from the list of active accounts, the
"Contacts" window still lists its Global Address List and Contacts, even
though the account has been deleted. Restarting Evo didn't fix it. I had to
manually delete the element from the gconf key array
/apps/evolution/addressbook/sources.

I can see this issue only if evolution is not restrated after removing
account, that too not always
Comment 2 Sushma Rai 2005-03-29 10:21:36 UTC
Are you seeing this when you remove the account which is not enabled?
(You have not authenticated, and removing it from the account list?)

Disabling doesn't make a difference. Just create the account, then
delete it, restart evolution.

This bug is related to bug 274029. I don't know if this bug was
causing 74029, or if it merely prevented the patch in 74029 from
working. But it was only after cleaning up my old exchange settings
by manually editing gconf keys (a result of this bug; I had to
manually edit %gconf.xml for addressbook, tasks, mail and calendar),
and then applying the patch for 74029, could I get connector working.

BTW, I'm pretty sure I filed a version of this bug (deleting exchange
account doesn't really delete it) a while ago... it does cause all
sorts of problems, especially when upgrading evolution versions. It
would be really nice to finally fix it for good.

Any way to make this bug a higher priority? It's really a royal pain. I have
several outstanding bugs in connector (higher priority) that I'm trying to help
you guys debug, and it's really painful to have to manually edit %gconf.xml
files and kill gconfd every time I want to do a test. I'm now even seeing times
when my exchange settings come back even after I've removed everything from
%gconf.xml in addressbook, mail, tasks and calendar.
Comment 7 Sushma Rai 2006-06-15 11:37:46 UTC
not observed this off late.
every time i delete the account, if account deletion is successful,
all the contacts/calendar/tasks folders also get deleted.

please re-open if u see this again.
