GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 272256
Smileys in non-html mail or news messages
Last modified: 2006-04-24 05:39:43 UTC
Distribution: Mandrakelinux release 10.1 (Official) for i586 Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: GNOME2.6.2 2.0.3 Gnome-Distributor: MandrakeSoft Synopsis: Smileys in non-html mail or news messages Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Bugzilla-Version: 2.0.3 Description: Please describe your feature request: When composing a new mail in html format, a feature is present to add an icon smiley in the text. Great. If you turn such a html message, containing icon smileys, into non-html message, the smileys are automagically transformed into "textual" smileys. Very good ! But one feature is missing : when in non-html mode, the menu to add a smiley (which would add a textual smiley of course) is not activated. You need to go back to html mode, add an icon smiley, and go back into non-html. So the feature request would be to have - the smiley menu active both for html and non-html messages - in non-html mode, the smiley menu would add directly a "textual" smiley.
