GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 271140
Easier way to undo deletion
Last modified: 2010-09-30 01:37:28 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: Deleted but unpurged messages can be undeleted by selecting them and hitting Ctrl-U. However if deleted messages are usually hidden they must first be unhidden. Also, after deleting a bunch of messages in arbitrary order it can be hard to identify which was the last one deleted by mistake. It would be useful to have a delete stack as is done in most modern editors and many other mailers, plus a command to undelete the top of the stack. The obvious accelerator would be Ctrl-Z. For extra credit: make it work for move and copy as well. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Delete a few messages in random order. 2. Decide you didn't want to delete the last two. 3. Try to figure out which were the last two. Actual Results: User inconvenience. Expected Results: Easy undeletion. How often does this happen? Always. Additional Information:
this is a duplicate of the feature request for undo support.
