GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 268862
iCal attachment view has dim/unusable OK button
Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:03:39 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: I'm unable to respond to an iCal invitation. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. have someone send you an iCal meeting invite 2. open the e-mail containing the invite Actual Results: OK button is dim - changing the action and RSVP fields does not help, refreshing the message does not help Expected Results: OK button is not dim, and I am able to respond to the invitation How often does this happen? Everytime, but x86 users running the same version of evolution claim not to have this problem. Additional Information: Attached is an example iCal file that I was sent which has this problem - I haven't seen an ical message that didn't have this problem since I upgraded from 1.4. This iCal file was generated by evolution 2.0.2 on x86. A screenshot is available here: http://free.linux.hp.com/~dannf/evolution-no-accept.png In case its related, note that there's also an upgrade problem on ia64 for 1.4->2.0: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=277577
Created attachment 44364 [details] a sample iCal file, explained in the initial submission
Also, i'm unable to "File->Import" an ical file - this used to work in 1.4. Now I get an error dialog that says "Unable to load /tmp/calendar.ics"
I was having the same problem and after playing around a little I noticed that in Calendars I didn't have my exchange calendar ticked. The existing calendar refused to get checked, but after I recreated the exchange account (and ticked the new calendar) the OK button became sensitive again.
This should be fixed for 2.2.x with the new itip attachment viewer. Re-open if not
