Description Sarfraaz Ahmed 2004-03-18 04:23:44 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you
are doing.
Description of Problem:
The Select folder window for creating filters should automatically show the
new folder created in the view. It does select the newly created folder.
But would be more intuitive and easy to use, if the user need not have to
scroll to see which folder has been selected. Since the window has already
selected the folder, its just a matter of setting the view [ to show the
selected folder ]

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Right click on a mail and choose Create a new filter from mailing list.
2. Click on "click here to select a folder" tab
3. In the select folder window, click "new"
4. Create a new folder and say ok.

Actual Results:
The new folder gets selected by default, but the view in the select folder
window, doesnot automatically gets scrolled to show the selected folder in
the current view. The user needs to scroll to see which folder has been
selected.

Expected Results:
The select folder window should have the selected folder displayed in the
center of the folder list shown.

How often does this happen?
Everytime

Additional Information:
This may be a minor bug, and i am also not very sure, if this is the right
component. Please re-assign this to the proper component and priority.

sounds easy doesn't it?

Well we do all i can see possible for this, we set the selection and
we set the curosr and we tell gtktreeview to show that row.

only it doesn't always work.

i can't see any way to fix this.

It's working fine here in 2.27.5.

Could you please confirm if this bug is still happening at your end ? Please try in 2.26.x or later and report back, thanks.
