Description Tony D'Amato 2001-01-27 21:24:17 UTC
Package:	control-center
Version:	1.0.40
Severity:	normal

>Synopsis:	Available Themes window doesn't scroll with keyboard
>Class: sw-bug
>Gnome-Libs-Release: gnome-libs-1.0.40
>Environment:

System: Linux jor-el 2.2.12-2 #3 Mon Sep 27 19:38:55 EDT 1999 i686 unknown
Architecture: i686

Distribution: Red Hat Version: Red Hat Linux release 6.0 (Hedwig)

>Description:
When selecting a theme in the Available Themes window and using the
arrows on the keyboard to select the next theme, the themes advance,
but the list doesn't.

>How-To-Repeat:
1) start control-center
2) use the mouse to select "Theme Selector"
3) click on the first theme under "Available Themes"
4) use the keyboard arrow keys to go down the list. Notice the list
will continue to advance (I've got "Auto Preview" turned on), but
the list doesn't keep up with the selected item.

To compare to what I believe it should do, select an item in the left
column of control center and use the arrow keys... it works there, but
not in the Theme Selector.

>Fix:
I dunno if it's a deeper gtk+ issue or not...

Assigning to Richard. Richard, I'm not at a box where I can test this
right now, so I'm leaving it as NEW, not CONFIRMED. Can you check
that this bug still exists, and if so, mark as CONFIRMED and look
into it according to priority?
Comment 2 Tony D'Amato 2001-09-27 21:10:42 UTC
I'm the one who submitted the original bug report.
I've got Control-Center 1.4.0.1 installed now, and
yup, the bug's still there. Click on the first
entry, and press down arrow... the highlighted entry
scrolls past the bottom of the "Available Themes"
window even tho the "Preview" section still updates.
Comment 3 Joakim Ziegler 2001-09-28 20:29:54 UTC
Actually, the newest version of the control center is 1.5.7, but
Ximian is about the only place you can get binary packages of that
right now. This has considerable rewrites as compared to 1.4.x,
that's why I'd like Richard to look at it. Although if you see it in
1.4.x, it's fairly likely it's in 1.5.7 too. Richard?

I'll try to fix it this weekend.

This has been fixed in cvs. (It was a GtkList bug).
