Description Steve George 2005-03-28 00:20:28 UTC
Lock screen should have a default keyboard shortcut of CTRL-ALT-l.
This would match the default KDE configuration
http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=Keyboard+Shortcuts
It would also match Windows, I believe, making it easier for people coming over
to GNOME.
As the user can configure the shortcut to their own choice there is no downside
to having a default offering.

Comment 4 Steve George 2006-02-22 15:30:07 UTC
I've changed this to "confirmed" in the hope that a developer will review the patch.

Can one of the maintainers of the control center please take a look at the patch?

Thanks

Jaap

The patch looks good to me. Only one thing, we need to make sure this shortcut doesn't conflict with others. Have you checked the HIG to see what the usual shortcuts are and if Ctrl-Alt-l is already being used?
Comment 7 Jaap A. Haitsma 2006-03-27 17:34:46 UTC
I checked the HIG and Ctrl-Alt-l is not used!!
