Description Samuel Abels 2005-03-23 20:23:05 UTC
I haven't found a possibility to upload a file from your local hard disk without
providing a link to a public URL. It would be great if that were possible. I
suspect that will drive many to upload to gnome-look first, and maybe not
everybody is going to post to a.g.o after that. But many may provide a link to
gnome-look after that ;).
Comment 1 Thomas Wood 2005-03-31 10:52:35 UTC
Unfortunatly this is unlikely to be possible unless someone can write or has a very safe and secure cgi
script. The gnome.org system administrators do not want to enable the php upload functions since
these have been insecure in the past.
Comment 2 James 2005-04-03 17:54:24 UTC
is a perl script OK?
Comment 3 Thomas Wood 2005-04-09 13:09:34 UTC
If you can prove that it is secure and doesn't cause any issues then possibly.
It would have to be vetted by the gnome.org sysadmin team first.
Comment 4 Lucas Lommer 2007-01-02 01:54:23 UTC
Will be possible in new ago version, probably :).
