Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Hoary

Configure amarok to use gstreamer
set output device to dmix
attmept to play an mp3 or ogg file (that's all i tried)

amarok: [Gst-Engine] [ERROR!] [GStreamer Error] Internal GStreamer error:
negotiation problem. File a bug. ** gstmad.c(1199): gst_mad_check_caps_reset:
/root_bin/thread4/bin2/spider8/mad2

someone suggestd that this might be about 44.1 vs. 48 dmix preference

hi brad,
could you try playing a mp3 using this command line:

gst-launch-0.8 filesrc location="filename.mp3" ! mad ! audioconvert ! audioscale
! alsasink device="name of your dmix device"

If that doesn't work please rerun it with GST_DEBUG=*:5 in front and '>
alsalog.txt 2>&1' after and attach the generated log bziped to this bug.
