Description Koop Mast 2005-03-15 11:52:36 UTC
Distribution/Version: 6.0-current

The this gst-launch line, I only get static on the speaker of my sparc64 box.

gst-launch-0.8 filesrc location= south.flac ! flacdec ! audioconvert !
audioscale ! osssink

When I replace osssink with esdsink I get to hear the music without the static.
Gst-launch doesn't emit any warnings/errors what ever.

If you can tell me how to get the info needed to fix this, I will be happy to
provide it.

What does

  gst-launch-0.8 -v filesrc location= south.flac ! flacdec ! audioconvert !
audioscale ! osssink

print?

Do any of the following pipelines work?

 (1) gst-launch-0.8 sinesrc ! osssink
 (2) gst-launch-0.8 sinesrc ! audio/x-raw-int,channels=2,rate=44100 ! osssink
 (3) gst-launch-0.8 sinesrc ! audio/x-raw-int,channels=2,rate=48000 ! osssink
 (4) gst-launch-0.8 sinesrc ! audio/x-raw-int,channels=2,rate=44100 !
audioconvert ! audioscale ! osssink
 (5) gst-launch-0.8 sinesrc ! audio/x-raw-int,channels=2,rate=48000 !
audioconvert ! audioscale ! osssink
 (6) gst-launch-0.8 -v filesrc location= south.flac ! flacdec ! osssink
 (7) gst-launch-0.8 -v filesrc location= south.flac ! flacdec ! audioconvert !
osssink
