"If you open gstreamer-properties directly from the gnome menu (called
Multimedia Systems Selector, under preferences) and go to the video section then
choose Ascii Art as an output (either X11 or console, both have the same effect)
then click the test button the application crashes. This does not happen if you
run it from a console, because it will disply the test in the console."

aasink is removed, it's not useful.
