GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 166639
Focus problems with new tabs
Last modified: 2005-03-11 21:26:30 UTC
Version details: Debian's 1.3.19-3 Distribution/Version: Debian/sid Hi, Sanjoy Mahajan reported via the Debian BTS that he has focus problems with tabs: "-Mutt: =inbox-dooz.org [Msgs:6 Inc:34 94K]---(threads/date)-----------(end)--- After loading a link in a new tab with ctrl-left button (but not switching to the new page), I need to click on a non-active area in the creating page before PageUp and PageDown will scroll up and down. I'd prefer that galeon preserve the user-interface context of the creating page, so that ctrl-left button does not affect the user's interaction with the creating page. Similarly, after I duplicate the current tab with ctrl-T, the address bar is blank (which I like, because I often type in a new address) but PageUp and PageDown won't scroll until I click in a non-active area. Sometimes it's useful to duplicate a page and go to one area of it in one copy (by perhaps using PageUp and PageDown), while preserving one's location on the original copy. The current galeon behavior requires an extra click to make this work." I found close related bugs, such as bug 126142, but altogether it was too different from this one. Maybe we should decide of a "focus bugs" placeholder bug? Bye,
(Hmmm sorry for that absolutely ugly copy-paste.)
