Version details: 0.1.3
Distribution/Version: FC3

# wget
"http://v3.espacenet.com/pdfdoc?DB=EPODOC&IDX=US6289364&F=128&QPN=US6289364&PGN=1"

# evince pdfdoc\?DB\=EPODOC\&IDX\=US6289364\&F\=128\&QPN\=US6289364\&PGN\=1

on console I see:

Error: Weird encryption info
Error: Couldn't read xref table

Window dialog opens: Password required

Same error for xpdf, gpdf (I believe they share the same source). Works ok with
acroread.

Acroread claims:
User Password: No
Master Password: No
Encryption Level: 40-bit RC4 (Acrobat 3.x, 4.x)
Comment 1 Bryan W Clark 2005-02-08 01:02:11 UTC
Hmm, I'm getting errors with Acrobat 5.10 on this document. The first page is
visible, however there are errors on all other pages.
Comment 2 Jaakko R 2005-02-08 18:06:38 UTC
If one would wget these pages

http://v3.espacenet.com/pdfdoc?DB=EPODOC&IDX=US6289364&F=128&QPN=US6289364&PGN=1
http://v3.espacenet.com/pdfdoc?DB=EPODOC&IDX=US6289364&F=128&QPN=US6289364&PGN=2
http://v3.espacenet.com/pdfdoc?DB=EPODOC&IDX=US6289364&F=128&QPN=US6289364&PGN=3

then the first _three_ pages of the document would work in acroread. The
document seems to be divideed into many single page documents.
Comment 3 Bryan W Clark 2005-03-01 20:16:26 UTC
acroread seems to be reading each document individually as it gets to it. I
have no idea what's going on here, but Evince definitely doesn't support it
right now. Marking low since this is definitely the PDF backend that needs the
work, not really Evince.
