Please describe the problem:
when Pango or Xft is not found, GTK+-2.1.14 configure script produces this error
message: Configure: error: Pango 1.2.0 and Xft backend is required for x11
target.

I think it should read instead "Pango 1.2.0 or Pango 1.4.1" instead of "Pango
1.2.0", or "Pango 1.2.x or Pango 1.4.x" or "Pango later than 1.2.0".
