GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 163760
misnamed (?) manpages
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg) Package: GStreamer Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.8.0 unspecified Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: misnamed (?) manpages Bugzilla-Product: GStreamer Bugzilla-Component: documentation Bugzilla-Version: unspecified Bugzilla-Keyword: doc Description: The manpages seem to have been misnamed. All the manpages are tagged with the gstreamer version tag, which seems to render them impossible to find for man. For example, gst-launch-0.8.1.gz should probably be gst-launch.1.gz. Thanks. Seems to work OK for me on Debian, I can both "man gst-launch" and "man gst-launch-0.8", which then reports as "gst-launch-0\.8(1)". My setups isn't particularly clean, but shows at least it can be done. Someone with FC3, can you confirm this behaviour?
Assuming fixed. Closing.
