Description Michael Hay 2005-01-08 02:39:03 UTC
Nothing special just compiled Best along with Beagle. Started both Beagle and
Best I could search and get results from Best but only web sites indexed through
Firefox and contacts located through e-d-s actually have icons associated with them.

I have no idea how to debug this other than verifying that the Images.dll is in
/usr/local/lib/beagle and that the images from the CVS dist are in Images.dll by
doing a strings on the DLL itself.
Comment 1 Gen Zhang 2005-01-13 15:46:39 UTC
I hate to be useless, but "me too". Grep confirms that all the images are in
Images.dll, but Best doesn't show the icons.

Same problem with:
distro: Fedora Core 3 (Rawhide)
gecko-sharp: 0.6 from tarball
mono: 1.1.3 from SVN trunk (pulled back in early December 2004)
best using: MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.5
Comment 3 Gen Zhang 2005-01-18 21:32:08 UTC
distro: Gentoo
gecko-sharp: 0.6 -- gentoo portage uses the plain tarball -- I even get bit-same
binaries by building from hand
mono: 1.0.5 -- gentoo has some patches to do with paths, nothing that touches
the sources
best using: MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/mozilla, version 1.7.5; this has various
patches, none of which I understand. :D
Comment 4 Raphael Slinckx 2005-01-18 21:46:27 UTC
Don't know f it is of any interest but exactly the same as above.

And if I remember correctly, best was once running fine with icons with the 0.6
gecko-sharp package.
Comment 5 Joe Gasiorek 2005-01-18 22:18:47 UTC
distro: NLD
gecko-sharp: 0.6
mono: 1.1.3
mozilla: 1.7.5
Comment 6 Joe Shaw 2005-01-18 22:23:14 UTC
ok, I feel fairly confident that this is because of mozilla 1.7. I am running
1.6 and my icons show up. If it's not too difficult, can some of you try
downgrading to 1.6 and see if that fixes things?
Comment 7 Joe Gasiorek 2005-01-18 22:56:41 UTC
Downgrading mozilla to 1.6 brought the icons back for me.
Comment 8 David Makovský (Yakeen) 2005-01-19 07:54:10 UTC
distro: FC3
gecko-sharp: 0.6
mono: 1.1.3
mozilla: 1.7.5
Comment 9 Adam Lofts 2005-01-19 13:39:10 UTC
distro: Ubuntu hoary
gecko-sharp: gecko 0.6 (debian package 0.6-1)
mono: 1.0.4
MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME=/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox
firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050112
Comment 10 Gen Zhang 2005-01-19 17:36:15 UTC
Downgrading to mozilla 1.6 brought the icons back for me too.
Comment 11 Joe Shaw 2005-01-20 18:51:51 UTC
This is now fixed in CVS.
