Ubuntu bug about that: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/56056 "empty dirs are skipped when creating archive of *any* type Dapper, updated. If there are empty dirs in the data I'm archiving, they will be not included in the archive. This happens both at right click->create archive and when adding data to file-roller window by drag'n'drop. This is VERY bad. ..."
File roller 2.14.4-0Ubuntu1. Not able to include empty folder inside an archive. Not able to displays an empty folder inside an existing archive.
