GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 162280
Scale Emblem in the List View
Last modified: 2010-12-18 01:48:46 UTC
Please scale the emblems just as they are done in the sidebar panel treeview. Right now nearly cover the entire icon behind them. Thank you.
what level of zoom an icon them are you using ?
Created attachment 38298 [details] image showing the difference between the sidebar and list view emblem location and size I'm currently using 75% as the list view zoom level. If I change the zoom level, the emblem scales as well. They still cover the folders though.

Created attachment 61428 [details] [review] Proposed patch (testing required) I'm marking the image (attachment 38298 [details]) as obsolete, because it uses bigger icon sizes for the sidebar than we do. It's a bit tricky to get this right. For small icons, you often want relatively bigger emblems than for large icons. I'm attaching a patch which scales icons in the tree sidebar to 3/4 of the icon size (they are usually small), and icons in the list view to 1/2 of the icon size (they are usually bigger). I'd like to get some feedback whether you find this aesthetically pleasing.
Created attachment 61429 [details] Sample screenshot While the symlink emblems on the LHS look a bit too bold, this is probably won't be an issue with tango, and the desktop icon on the LHS IMO looks OK.
See #321819 also. This could probably be marked a dup of that.
This is fixed in 2.91.x. Closing as such.
