When editing a cell, the first ctrl-b, ctrl-i or ctrl-u doesn't work.

1. Press F2
2. Press ctrl-b (or click Bold on the toolbar)
3. Type "bold" (doesn't work)
4. Press ctrl-b again
5. Type "bold" (now it works)
