Description Raj 2004-12-13 10:35:47 UTC
- Launch file roller and open any existing tar.gz archive
- Add a war archive to the above archive.
- The file type shown in the file roller window for the war file is
'unknown'. The Gnome footprint icon is displayed.
Comment 1 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-12-15 12:51:05 UTC
file-roller uses gnome_vfs_mime_type_from_name_or_default to get the mime type
from the file extension, if this doesn't work there is a problem in the mime
database or in gnome-vfs.

Raj, could you point out an example .war file somewhere to test with? Also, what
does nautilus display with this file? Does it handle it correctly?
Comment 3 Raj 2005-01-06 04:40:19 UTC
Attaching a war file...

Also attaching a screenshot of my desktop. Nautilus displays foo.war as a file
of type 'ZIP'. But the icon in the file roller window for foo.war is the
gnome footprint.

Actually, they have the same icon for me under latest Ubuntu.

So I think this bug should be closed since war files are treated the same way compressed and uncompressed. Maybe the icon is not the most appropriate but this is another issue.
