GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 160967
Regression in stock icons handling in libglade 2.4.1
Last modified: 2011-07-19 23:00:59 UTC
The attached example is displaying fine with libglade 2.4.0. It doesn't with 2.4.1 (first button isn't displayed at all) and output a warning : (lt-test-libglade:30050): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtklabel.c: line 2792 (gtk_label_set_use_underline): assertion `GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed This is with gtk+ 2.4.14

see bug #160586, perhaps a dupe of this one
Could you check if libglade-2.4.2 or 2.5.1 fix this issue? They revert the handling of old-style toolbars.
unfortunately, it still doesn't fix the issue (even if it fixes bug #160586). Testcase is still failing.
Created attachment 37920 [details] [review] stock menu item label patch I've seen this behaviour aswell (in system-config-network from FC3). The stock menu items (new, copy, delete) didn't contain a label. The attached patch reverts the behaviour on displaying stock icons back to libglade 2.4.0 which fixes this.
any news for this patch?
The GNOME Release team has officially deprecated libglade in favor of GtkBuilder[1]. So it's unlikely to get further development. I am closing bugs as WONTFIX. Please feel free to reopen the bugs in future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development. [1] http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gnome.devel.announce/28
