Description Pablo Arroyo 2004-11-30 23:11:48 UTC
The icons for the cpufreq applet are not clearly enough.

I've made new ones based on the icons proposed by Pat Suwalski for the wireless
applet. I think they are more clear and more representative of the function of
the applet.

Great work! I like the icons mainly because the useful information (the progress
bar) is bigger and is in the front now. It makes the progress bar more precise
and visible.

Davyd, thoughts?
Comment 7 Danielle Madeley 2004-12-01 20:09:23 UTC
It's got a lot of merit, but I am not an artist (at all) so I will CC Jimmac to
check that it all looks nice and happy and HIGgy and such.
Comment 8 Christoffer Olsen 2005-01-03 23:57:59 UTC
I also find these useful, and I'd like to use them for 2.10 if possible. Jakub,
any comments?
Comment 9 Danielle Madeley 2005-01-09 09:05:53 UTC
Still waiting on the comments of an artist.
Comment 10 Jakub Steiner 2005-01-18 17:44:04 UTC
I wouldn't mind touching up the cpu a little (the extra pixels on the "legs").
It tricks the eye into thinking the light comes from all different sides.

But overall it's way above the average art submissions. I'd let it in.
Comment 11 Danielle Madeley 2005-01-18 17:50:47 UTC
Cool.

At the moment, these icons are installed in $prefix/pixmaps/cpufreq, would it be
worth having these icons added to the icon theme so that they are themable in
the usual way?
Comment 12 Jakub Steiner 2005-01-18 19:44:29 UTC
If there's a chance for the icons to be used in other applications, go for it.
But I'm not sure myself.
Comment 13 Carlos Garcia Campos 2005-01-20 13:19:27 UTC
So, can I submit the new icons?
Comment 14 Danielle Madeley 2005-01-20 13:53:35 UTC
Carlos, I say go for it, just put them in place of the current pixmaps. We can
decide on stock icon names later on, and play with them then.
Comment 15 Carlos Garcia Campos 2005-01-20 19:26:49 UTC
Ok, done. I think we also need an icon for the applet (the icon that appears in
the about dialog)
Comment 16 Danielle Madeley 2005-08-03 17:35:09 UTC
This was committed.
