Hacking in this function, I noticed that the mime_types list is allocated but
never freed. Unless I'm really mistaken about its purpose, this is a leak.

This looks good, feel free to commit to the gnome-2-8 and HEAD branches, but
wait for the 2.9 release that is due in the coming days.

gnome-vfs 2.9.1 has been released today, I've commited the patch in gnome-2-8
and HEAD, thanks Josselin.
