Description Pablo Rodríguez 2004-11-25 22:35:26 UTC
Open the following file: http://www.pragma-ade.nl/general/manuals/mp-cb-en.pdf.

In the first page there are red points over all and xpdf displays it right, but
gpdf doesn't display them.

Sorry for my inaccurate description. As soon you open the first page in both
viewers, you'll notice the diference.
Comment 1 Sebastien Bacher 2005-01-14 00:38:27 UTC
same with 2.9.1
Comment 2 Olav Vitters 2006-01-29 01:10:45 UTC
Gpdf is no longer maintained, closing WONTFIX. Please use Evince for your pdf
viewing needs.

Comment 3 Zack Weinberg 2006-01-29 21:05:14 UTC
evince does not render the red dots either (compare to gv). Reopen, reassign to evince.
Comment 4 Karsten Bräckelmann 2006-01-30 00:23:36 UTC
Done. Version set as per private comment.

Thanks for taking care about this and ensuring software quality. :)
Comment 5 Patrick Pletscher 2006-03-06 20:26:59 UTC
I believe this bug is fixed in CVS head of evince (I see all the red dots). Displaying the pdf might be slightly slower than in acroread, but otherwise I don't see big differences. Can you confirm this?
Comment 6 Patrick Pletscher 2006-03-07 18:15:28 UTC
Okay I had some more time to triage this bug. I indeed is still present in evince, however only with the cairo-backend. It is now reported in poppler bugzilla: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6174.

Moreover, I think it's the same as http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=173143 , or at least closely related.

Thanks a lot, Patrick. Let's track this problem in poppler bugzilla.
