GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 158903
Offline mode should be acknowledged by session handling
Last modified: 2013-05-27 16:12:27 UTC
I tried to use the work-offline mode to preserve som pages (that require login) before shutting down GNOME. I was hoping that next time I started GNOME, epiphany would start in work-offline mode due to session handling. But it didn't, and so those pages were redirected to the login page because I wasn't logged in. And thus I lost those pages completely, because I didn't remember exactly their location. While I don't care for that, I just want to request that offline mode is also to be comprised by session handling.
We're going to integrate the offline status with NetworkManager via DBUS.
This is going to be tried as an extension first, so moving to epiphany-extensions.
According to its developer, epiphany-extensions is not under active development anymore. (For reference: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2013-May/msg00035.html and bug 700924.) It is unlikely that there will be any further active development. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping - Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
