Description Frédéric Logier 2004-11-04 15:56:09 UTC
gst-launch-0.8 dv1394src ! dvdec ! xvimagesink

gst-launch takes 100% cpu and capture is really slow.
Problem is identified to be dvdec plugin, there is no problem with kino.
libgstdvdec.so is linked on libdv4 0.102

what DV decoding quality is configured in the 'Display' tab of kino? dvdec
defaults to Best quality. You can adjust it with the 'quality' property of dvdec.

hardware problem.
Comment 3 Thomas Vander Stichele 2004-11-05 16:59:45 UTC
ok, then we can't do much about it. for all of us dv works very well.
Comment 4 Stephane Loeuillet 2004-12-19 13:44:07 UTC
latest libdv is 0.104, please try with this one, perhaps it could fix your problem

closing as no one could reproduce it for now

please reopen if it is still an issue
