Description Sebastien Bacher 2004-10-28 11:29:16 UTC
This bug has been reported here: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/1453

"Right click on a mp3 file, choose properties, click on the Audio/Video tab.

You will get an error message saying:

"There was an error trying to create the view named 'Audio/Video': System
exception: IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0"

Starting on a terminal:
/usr/lib/totem/totem-properties-page

and then firing the properties of an mp3 file, you get on the terminal:
(totem-properties-page:6612): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gtype.c: line 2254
(g_type_register_static): assertion `parent_type > 0' failed

(totem-properties-page:6612): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gtype.c: line 2254
(g_type_register_static): assertion `parent_type > 0' failed

(totem-properties-page:6612): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 819
(g_object_new): assertion `G_TYPE_IS_OBJECT (object_type)' failed
Segmentation fault"

Happens here too (but no segfault), totem 0.99.20, gstreamer 0.8.7, gst-plugins
0.8.5
Comment 1 Sebastien Bacher 2004-10-28 11:31:27 UTC
updating the title ...
Comment 2 Bastien Nocera 2004-10-28 11:32:14 UTC
The properties page doesn't work with GStreamer, this is a known bug (gst_init()
isn't called).
Comment 3 Ronald Bultje 2004-10-28 14:41:07 UTC
It's known, I'll work on it sometime soon...
Comment 4 Ronald Bultje 2004-11-25 19:35:04 UTC
Fixed for 0.99.23.
