libgnomeprint when uses certain font names with PS name like 'FZSYK--GBK1-0'
seems there's an issue which causes the ASCII characters not be not printed out.

Happens due to a bug in the subfont creation. Noticed with gedit output, which's
attached.

This approach is clearly more robust than the previous code.  Patch will be in
2.8.1
